The HRA Team



Barbara Freet, PHR, Founder and President/CEO, specializes in consulting, product development, sales and training. She is sought out by professional groups and private employers as a guest speaker on a variety of employment-related topics. She founded the company in 1991.

Amy Freet, Executive Vice President, has over 14 years of employee handbook customization experience with its emphasis on compliance and best practices. Amy provides HR consulting for our clients and creates our USB drive of forms for hiring, firing and everything in between. Before HRA, Amy held office management and administrative positions for 12 years as an optometry office manager. Amy has a BA in Psychology.

Wendy Warner, Senior HR Consultant, has held upper management HR positions in a number of recognizable companies in high tech, wealth management and pharma, in addition to owning her own small business. Wendy specializes in the areas of strategic human resources work, complex employee relations issues, leaves of absences and training and has a very engaging personality which our clients appreciate. She has a BS in Psychology from San Diego State University. 

Bridget Gleason, HR Director. Bridget is our newest addition and she brings a wealth of for profit and non-profit upper level HR experience. She is an expert in the areas of benefits and compensation and has received a number of Certifications in those fields as well as an Executive Certificate in Human Resource Management. She also holds an MBA in Strategic Leadership and is serving as HR Director for a very well known Marin County restaurant client of ours.

Sandra Herman, Senior HR Consultant. Sandra brings years of experience as the COO/VP of Human Resources for a large regional insurance brokerage. Prior to that position, Sandra worked in HR for high tech, marketing and management consultant firms. Sandra is our workers’ compensation specialist in addition to providing HR guidance. Sandra has a Masters in Human Resources and Organizational Development.

Marina Martinez, Senior HR Consultant/Manager of our San Jose Office, has the distinction of bringing 20 years of HR manager-level experience specializing in hotel management to our group but also provides much needed bilingual interpreter and translation experience. Marina also provides onsite consulting for our clients with a Hispanic workforce.

Jani Chayut, Accountant, has extensive experience owning and managing her own restaurant before joining HRA. Jani provides payroll services for several of our clients who want to outsource their payroll function. Jani also handles all our accounting functions, manages our office resources, and brings excellent homemade treats to the office.
