Description
As you may already be aware that SB 1343 was recently signed into law. It requires employers of 5 or more employees to provide sexual harassment training to their supervisors, managers AND their employees before January 1, 2020 and every two years thereafter.
The supervisor training is mandated to last 2 hours and the employee training lasts 1 hour.
New employees must be trained within their first 6 months. Temps and seasonal employees have to be trained within 30 days or 100 hours of employment—whichever comes first. The requirement for temps and seasonal employees has to be met by the end of 2020.
The training is interactive and everyone gets a certificate. The training can be ordered in Spanish for both the supervisor and employee trainings.
